New Mexico Highlands University hired Ampere Design to create a comprehensive re-imagining of Highlands Athletics that would essentially rebuild NMHU’s football, softball and baseball facilities while renovating its basketball arena, its fieldhouse and the Stu Clark Center that serves as the primary wrestling and administrative hub for football.
It also calls for the construction of a 60-yard indoor practice facility in the vacant lot immediately north of the baseball field, plus other upgrades — All in, the Ampere team itemized cost for every component of the University’s vision totaling $85M.
